Why I Read

I read books because when you read it opens up new doors and gives you a broader perspective on life. I like reading all kinds of books because when you can experiment with all kinds of books you can see the world through a new light that you wouldn't be able to before. Like if some one has a problem with alcohol, or is disabled,  you can see their struggles and how life is for them. Reading teaches you empathy, toleration, or compassion for others usually because ALL books have Themes, or LIFE LESSONS. The greates things about books is that they inspire, they teach, they entertain, they tell stories from the past, and you can learn from the characters actions.
Seeing how life is different in so many books and series, make you appreciate  things a bit better and motivates you. You start understanding things better, you analyze situations, and try to solve problems. When you read it makes you wiser, because.. you understand the world better, what other people did in the past to make it great, better , bad, or worse. You can become Very intelligent when you read, and the more the read, the more vocabulary and concepts you learn. The more it opens up your on imagination.
Here is an example of a man who loved to read: His name was Ben Carson. This is a kid who used to get D's and F's in Grade school, he was ridiculed and called the class dummy. Because his mom made him read a couple 1+ books per week and turn into her written book reports before he an his brothers could play outside, Ben began to gain self-esteem and confidence. He eventually turned his dread of learnig into a passion for reading. This showed up in his grades. He was doing better, he was trying harder, and continued to read all kinds of books that he enjoyed reading. He graduated highschool and went to John Hopkins university to become a nero-surgeon. He was teh doctor who figured out how to seperate siamese twins and is very know and recognized doctor today. Thanks to Ben, we are now blessed with many more medical advances and his love of reading helped him do that. How Ben Carson Helps Other Kids unlock their love for learning

Growing up- Carlos

I finally finished the book , and in the end there was a plot twist. Basically Carlos discoveres that by going to a party that Sheccid, the girl that he thought he loved so much is actually a prostitute. Carlos was shocked by the realization. He was very sad for her. But he did not judge her. He knew from then on they could probably never be together though. So instead of being sorrowful and heartbroken Carlos used his broken heart and changed it into a better story with a better ending. He let Sheccid inspire him to become a better person for all the struggle he went through to be with her. He developed many talents and gifts through the process, he even realized what he wanted to be when he grew up, a writer. Sometimes we put more efforts to better ourselves or make sure we do things the best we can so we can show the people we love how much they mean to us. Even though it may be hard at times, sometimes anyone who knows what its like to really love someone (wheather it be mom, dad, brother, sister, boyfriend/girlfriend) we know how it is to go through great lengths to just to see that person smile, for whatever reason. In the story I also learned that  love is a very beautiful thing but it hurts sometimes too.
