Now I’m in Outside but it turns out lots of it isn't real at all.”

The  Room by Emma Donughue is a thrilling, chilling, and eye opening book about a world only known to be 11 by 11 ft. tall. And you have a chance to play and know the world through Jack’s eyes, and Ma’s eyes. Jack’s perspective of the world only travels as far as the room. He thinks the Room is a happy, “good” place where he can play with his Ma all day and read a total of 5 books, and get Sunday treat from “Old Nick”…the guy who comes at night with groceries and takes out the trash. He has a rough, gruel voice; he doesn't know for sure if Old Nick is real or not. Only Ma and he are real. Other kids aren’t real either, there just TV.
Jack doesn't know really who Old Nick is, or that the life he’s living is not normal. He doesn't know about his grandma, and grandpa, and uncle who have searched for his Ma with intense anticipation; but she was hidden so strategically know one could find or that Old Nick is actually a sick, demeaning kidnapper who robbed his mom of her previous life. All Jack knows is that Old Nicks abuse to Ma has gone too far and that he needs to rescue her. Will you be “scave” and help Jack be Ma’s hero?
Find out how hard it is to finally leave Room, and connect with the characters even further by going through their struggles with this amazing video game experience!
